The East won only by one, even after beginning the fourth quarter with a 16 points lead.
Two players carried the East to the victory, Oscar Robertson and the MVP Jerry Lucas (25 points and 10 rebounds).
The best in the West were Gus Johnson with 28 points and Wilt Chamberlain (20 points and 16 rebounds).
Wilt, the same night of the game, was traded from San Francisco to Philadelphia.
